Understand Your Obligations to be Compliant With Poison Centre Notification (PCN) by 01 January 2025
Starting from the second poison centre notification compliance date (01 January 2024) all hazardous mixtures for industrial use only, placed on the EU market, must be notified in the harmonised format according to Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation.
Have you submitted poison centre notification for professional/consumer mixtures and industrial mixtures in a national format, respectively before 01 January 2021 and 01 January 2024?
Companies that benefit from the transition period for existing notification submitted according to national requirements need to plan how and when to update their notifications and manage their re-labelling plans (UFI code on the labels) for the products placed on the EU market: REMINDER that the transition period is about to end.
Be aware that no automatic data migration is planned from the national systems to the harmonized format and get ready to prepare the new harmonized notifications and to re-label by 01 January 2025!
However, it needs to be noted that the notification, according to the requirements outlined in the Annex VIII to CLP regulation, must be done immediately in the harmonised format if any changes are made to the composition, identifiers, classification (for health or physical hazards) of the mixture already notified via national system.
